Yes. A donation acknowledgement letter from WAM Theatre will be provided to you after the event for your donation. It is up to you to keep a list of what you donated and to value it for tax purposes.
How do I volunteer to help with BerkChique?
So glad you asked. BerkChique! is run by volunteers and we can use all the help we can get. The tasks include helping to prepare the clothes and accessories for sale (sorting, hanging, pricing, steaming, etc.) and helping to staff the event on the weekend of the sale. We are a happy and fun crew – come join us. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to volunteer.
BerkChique! was founded in 2012 by Nancy Fitzpatrick as a fun way for regional patrons to clear out and/or update their closets and support important organizations.
BerkChique! has benefited and continues to benefit many other regional non-profits through the donation of clothing and/or funds, including the Berkshire Botanical Garden, Berkshire Creative/1Berkshire, Community Access to the Arts (CATA), Goodwill Industries of the Berkshires, IS183 Art School of the Berkshires, Shakespeare & Company and WAM Theatre.
For it’s seventh year, BerkChique! is presented by and in support of the WAM Theatre and its programs, but will continue its long held tradition of supporting other important area non-profits through the donation of clothing and/or funds.
